About the retreat - Starts at 10am, finishes at 3pm - lunch, refreshments & art supplies all included

After a long winter break, we get that strong desire to feel the warmth of the sun and longer daylight hours. Signs of spring start to appear and this is the perfect time to set goals, re-spark your motivation and make some changes in your life, home and career.

So this very special retreat is about mindfulness, finding your true purpose, creating a path that will make you happy & learning strategies that motivate you to stay on track with your life. With a lovely hot beverage by your side, we will be discovering the power of journaling with a masterclass in goal setting. I will teach you methods of breaking things down and creating balance in all aspects of your life, helping you to stay on track with goals and make things much easier to manage.

After this, we will get moving in an uplifting yoga class that's designed to wake up the mind, stimulate the nervous system and detox your body. This class will cater for most abilities with optional variations, however it won't be suitable for those who struggle to sit or stand up from the floor, have any severe or chronic back problems or are unable to be on your hands and knees comfortably.

After the yoga, we will enter into the sound bath (sound healing) using various instruments such as singing bowls, gong, drums, chimes and more. Sound healing stimulates physical healing in the body and mind, whilst helping busy heads switch off to enhance the meditative experience.

We will then have a delicious nourishing lunch that will be wholesome and freshly made. We can also cater for those with specific dietary needs or allergies (make sure you mention this when booking) so we can let the caterer know in advance.

After we've eaten, we will finish the day with a unique art class that includes using your intuition to paint. This is about tapping into your higher self and using your experience from the journaling & sound bath meditation to inspire what you create. No painting experience is required at all as this is suitable for both beginners to art, and experienced. We will learning about all the basics of using Oil Paint and how it differs from any other medium. All materials will be provided so no need to bring anything (however, if you'd rather use your own paint brushes or paints, we will be working with oils so you are more than welcome to bring yours along).

What do I need?

Comfortable clothing for the yoga is important to allow free movement. Extra layers is also important to bring in case it's chilly, although this venue has very good heating. If you need an inhaler, you must bring it to the retreat. If you take any medication during the day, please remember to bring it and inform us of any medical conditions when booking. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day (there will be drinking water and glasses at the hall but a bottle is less likely to spill fluid). For the art at the end of the day, you may want to bring an apron or old top to protect your clothes from paint. You will also need something to bring your artwork home in with you like a plastic bag, sheets or box to protect your car as the paint will still be wet (oil paint takes a while to dry). All art supplies and materials are provided. You won't need to bring a yoga mat or blankets/belts with you as you will be able to borrow them at the retreat. If you want to use your own however, you are more than welcome to. Lunch is provided at the retreat, so you must inform us of any dietary needs or allergies at least 3 days beforehand at the latest to allow us time to make alterations to the menu.

Is this suitable for me?

If you have any questions at all, or if you are unsure whether or not the retreat is right for you, please get in touch before booking. We try to adapt and cater the retreat to suit most people, however if you have any disability, injury, recently recovered from surgery, or struggle physically with moving / walking, you must get in touch before booking so that we can assess if the retreat is suitable and safe for you as we may be able to come up with adaptations that allow you to participate still. If you struggle with loud noises, strong smells or flashing lights, please let us know beforehand so we can discuss if there are ways in which we can make adaptations to allow you to feel comfortable at this event. There will be a diffuser with essential oils, an aurora star light which projects light on the ceiling and the instruments used for sound healing can be overwhelming for those sensitive to sound.

Health & Safety

It is your responsibility when booking that you inform us of any allergies, medical conditions or physical disability (Physical disability is defined as a “limitation on a person's physical functioning, mobility, dexterity or stamina” that has a 'substantial' and 'long-term' negative effect on an individual's ability to do normal daily activities.) You take part at this event at your own risk as everything has been risk assessed and the yoga instructor is a qualified yoga instructor, but all forms of movement can have at least a small risk of injury depending on the persons body, health or past injuries. Instructions during activities will be given clearly, with adaptations and variations to suit different people, but only you can feel what is right for your body and where your own limits are. It is important you do not push beyond what feels right for you.

Refund policy

Tickets at this retreat are non-refundable. You can give your ticket to somebody else however, should you be unable to attend - please make sure they let us know of any medical conditions beforehand and by allowing them to book, they agree to the terms and conditions of this retreat. We will also need their full name and contact details.
